I have been visiting this salon for several years now, and they never cease to amaze. They are extremely accommodating and provide nothing but the highest quality of service, and use only the highest quality products. The staff are warm, friendly, and most importantly, get the best results for every single one of their clients. Not only am I constantly impressed with my haircuts, but I see every other client leaving happy. They put in the time to get to know you and understand what you are looking for, and then deliver those high standards time after time. If you are looking for the best salon in Melbourne, then this is it.

I had my hair cut by Ben for the first time Yesterday and I couldn’t be happier. Ben was on time and easy to be around. My hair is healthy and beautifully cut. The banter was great and the salon is gorgeous. Looking forward to my next appointment! :)

Love this salon. The Best place to get a haircut in Melbourne . Great service and very helpful staff, highly recommended. particularly Shantael is very friendly and skilled. Very happy with my haircut , Thanks guys :)

Would highly recommend this salon! Shantael has done such an amazing colour on my hair. I’ve left so many other salons disappointed that they haven’t listened to what I’ve asked for but not XVI Collective, I’m finally in love with my hair.

Had my hair fixed up after mistakenly getting it done at another salon and although my hair was in bad shape, Ben made it look fantastic and helped with working to get my hair healthier again! Couldn’t be happier after my first mistake! Will def be going back and highly recommend

Terrible customer service. Do not recommend. I booked an appointment with Ben after seeing the 5 star reviews online, but left unsatisfied. I paid $400 for what should have been a simple set of foils, root tint and a basic cut. After leaving the salon I was worried that Ben had missed the brief. But he had told me to wait a few weeks and the colour would change, to be more like the photo I’d provided. 3 weeks later, my hair doesn’t look at all like what I asked for. When raising my concerns with Ben he said that if he was to “fix” something it would imply that he had done something wrong. He did not even asking me to return to the salon or see a photo of how his work had settled in to my hair. Instead he advised me that I must have misunderstood what could be achieved in a sitting and that my expectations needed to be managed... Like most people, I’ve been to a few hairdressers in my time, I do understand, it’s not rocket science. You pay money for a service, if that service is not what you asked for, then something should be done to rectify the issue. During my booking Ben did not stop talking about his divorce and ex-wife in a way which was incredibly unprofessional. He was also on his phone constantly throughout the appointment.. both taking calls and texting. I get it, it’s 2020, we all stare at our phones, but it rude when you’re paying for what should be a high quality and dedicated service. I will not be returning to this salon. Nor will I be recommending it to others. There are plenty of other highly rated salons to choose from in the area, or adventure a little further up the road to the CBD.

Ben has been doing wonderful things with my (very difficult) hair since Salon XVI originally opened in different premises. Recently, I moved interstate and tried another hairdresser to make life easier. It didn't. Ran back to Ben again. Happy Bunny again now.

Ben at Salon XVI has been cutting my hair for years. I have tried different salons over the years as I move around living in different locations. I always seem leave other salons disappointed. What I love about Ben is he is meticulous and consistent. I generally get great comments from people after a fresh cut at Salon XVI Highly recommended.

Best cut I have ever had and I’ve had my hair done all over the world! Technically, flawless, complimented the shape of my face beautifully and was EXACTLY how I envisaged it! Colour was also…. yes, you guessed it, fabulous! Genius!!!

An amazing hairdresser who has been in the business for over 20 years. Ben listened, advised and was amazing with his cut and hairstyle. He wasn’t pushy, didn’t try to sell me any products, and I wasn’t rushed. He took his time till my haircut was perfected. I was extremely happy and definitely will go back to him. So hard to find a hairdresser with so much experience that will take the time to make sure you are happy. No wonder your salon is well known. Thank you so much.
